I had high hope for this casino and hotel, but I will never return. At no point did we ever receive an apology. They did offer us a free meal, but that can be received by simply filling out a player’s card. We had to ask to speak to the hotel managers, and with some reluctance they took us to them. We expected an apology, but nothing was done. About 20 minutes later we were lifted out of the elevator that was in between floors. So I called back again, and they sent for the fire department. I called the operator from the elevator, and she hung up on me.

The last straw for us was that we got stuck in the elevator. At Four Winds we did not receive our drinks until after our meal came, and no apology was given. I didn't think that was too much to expect. I mean it is a CMT (Country Music Television) bar. We asked the bar tender if they could turn on any country music or turn the volume up on the CMT television, and we were quickly told no. To our disappointed they were playing 70's and rap music. In addition, we had to wait an hour for dinner, when there were at least 15 tables open. Our shower did not drain, and they was mold growing on the walls and curtain. I also was pleased with the appearance of our room. As I walk into the hotel I was very impressed.

My husband and I went to Horseshoe for a quick trip. The housekeeping staff tried to help us but had little to work with. As far as the management goes, they didn't care. All three pillows were mis-matched and yellowed. Our bed had linens that were yellow in places while the bed pad had blood on it in several places (you could see it through the thin sheets). Unfortunaltly it was as worn as the first, plus reeked of smoke. She did find us another room which we moved to.

When we contacted the front desk, we were dismissed 2 times, and on the 3rd try finally spoke to a 'manager', who sent a housekeeping supervisor to the room. The room had not been vacumned as there were fingernails/toenails all over the floor on one side of the bed. All the furniture was very worn and dirty also, with the chair and couch low to the ground too.

The bed was actually laying on the floor(dirty box springs directly on the floor). Upon our arrival at the Horseshoe we were told that our reservation for a king/non-smoking was not available, so we were given a handicap, smoking room.
